JPG Magazine
So I entered a contest, well not really a contest but a challenge to have a picture published in a magazine that I found, JPG Magazine. I have entered two photographs, both from the night range a couple weeks ago.

Happy New Years!
Well it's the new year, and we have much less than 30 days remaining here in Camp Fallujah. Then, time to take pictures back in the good 'ol USA! Yeah!
Here in Camp Fallujah we celebrated the new year when the artillery fired off a few illumination (illum) rounds and a controlled blast. Don't know if arty fired intentionally or just a coincidence - we all think it was planned; but the controlled blast was planned, or so we were told.
We also had a promotion, Sgt Brogdon is now SSgt Brogdon. He was happy, very long awaited, and deserved.
See ya'll soon!

First Post: Two months Left
Well, we are down to roughly two months remaining here in beautiful, exotic Camp Fallujah, Iraq. During which to date I've taken more than 1,000 pictures and uploaded nearly all I've taken on Flickr. I've been pleased to get back in to good photography with a purchase of a new dSLR. It's been a decade or so since I had a SLR, my previous being a Pentax PZ10 which was stolen along with my car. Digital poses several new learning challenges that I look forward to continuing to learn more about everyday.
